Adopt!

The Orchard's adoption policy is changing starting 2016 - Please note the changes - we hope this solution will benefit our community!

The Orchard offers a special program allowing community members to adopt apple trees shares on an annual basis.  Groups are more than welcome to participate!  The cost per share is $10.

Here's the best part: Each share you buy will purchase 1 bushel of apples to be picked on the east side of the orchard. Picking fruit from those trees will be limited to "adopters" - no one else can come in and pick during open picking season. The apples you pick can be one variety, or multiple - you decide!

Open adoption typically runs from April 1 - April 30; however, adoptions can continue into May.

To adopt a tree share, print and fill out the form below.  You will need to contact Mike at 574-551-0117
to schedule a time to pay. Bring the completed form and $10 per share at scheduled time.

Volunteer!

Helping out benefits everybody involved! By giving of your time, you can essentially purchase apples. Every hour of work converts to half hour of apple picking time or an hour of blueberry picking time.

From March until April we prune and clear brush.  From May until August, we need help with organic spraying and mowing. From September to October, we reap the benefits of our work and need to gather the harvest quickly. When finished, we prepare the Orchard for winter.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact:
           Charlie: 574-453-7477.
Volunteers are always welcome, and we can arrange volunteer projects any time - not just our scheduled work days!

Next scheduled workday:
            Saturday, March 30 - 9am - 2pm
